Stan Woozle - character reference sheet by StanHoneyThief Stan Woozle - character reference sheet by StanHoneyThief
+++Updated this character sheet. It didn´t suit my taste anymore and I found the characters rather stiff. Since I got used to draw Stan by now, I decided to re-do this character sheet and now it looks much better.+++

Kinda dug around and found this character.
This guy here is not my OC, he is a character who belongs to the Walt Disney Company and only appeared in 2 episodes from New adventures with Winnie the Pooh.
Like most weasel-characters this guy also appears as a villain or rather bad guy.
He is a woozle, the adaption of a weasel plushy created by the person who wrote the stories of Winnie the pooh who is a bear plushy who came alive.
Stan (I guess his full name is Stanley?) is a character who does not appear in the books, he only appears in the TV series and was invented by Disney.
He is a honey robber and lives from honey mostly I guess.
He has a friend named Heff who is a Heffalump LOL a very unique name for such a creature.
Heff is a elephant plushy but why those are called Heffalumps I can´t say.
Stan is rather intelligent compared to Heff and he also acts like the leader of the two.
Like all characters in the 100 Arcs Wood Stan and Heff love honey and because the other characters are deadly afraid of them for whatever reason, they are not friends with them and prefer to rob their food from them who have the most.

The reason why I drew this character is because, he is a rather interesting character for a Disney weasel.
He doesn´t look like the typical weasels we know from Who framed Roger Rabbit, House of Mouse and other classic cartoons.
But the other characters appearing in the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh are rather unique and not like other characters known from fairytales or Toon Town cartoons.
What I found interesting is Stan without his hat.
I saw a screenshot where you could see what a fluffy head he has. The image was showing him where he was rather small, I didn´t see his ears, but being a weasel-like animal plushy, I guess he does have ears, they are just rather small. They are covered by the hat anyway just like the hair on his head.
Also like always shown him with different face expressions.

Stan belongs to Disney (C)

Yes sadly, he is only in two eps, that´s it. I don´t have much hope they ever would come up with him and Heff in newer series of Winnie the Pooh. The Toon Patrol weasels are more favorite and they didn´t get any extra shows or episodes etc etc either >C

I think the same. They are usually the funny thing about the Disney movies which makes them quite sympathically. It is a shame they mostly appear as villains.

Really? O_O
There are two eps where he appears in.
The first was The big honey pot robbery and the second one is A bird in the hand.
I watched them all over again, I even had a VHS video with some eps but not these two on them which were my very favorites.

The same reasone weezles are woozles - they tried to imitate that the kid gets the names wrong, like Tigger for a Tiger. :) Nice work.

My stuffed animals had names that didn't do with their species:
"Hazel the Poodle" and "Stripey the bengal tiger" (as a kid, I thought "bengal" was the actual scientific term for white tiger)

I guess the tigers are named after their environment. I didnīt know many tigers when I was little, only knew the Sibirian tiger, the Indian tiger and that there are tigers in China where they are hunted because of medicine.
I often named animals after characters from movies so the big tiger plushy I once had and took everywhere was named Shirkahn or however you write that name, a fox was named Vuk, a German Shepherd dog was named Charlie and so on XD

Bengal tiger is another term for Indian tiger apparently. At the time I had just assumed "bengal" was a fancy word for white tiger because the local zoo had obtained a pair of white bengal tigers and made just as much of a big deal about them being Bengal tigers just as much as they were white.  I don't know why because the local professional football team, The Cincinnati Bengals'

colors are orange and black and their mascot is a tiger. I guess my parents just weren't big football fans.

I guess the white tigers could be called true bengals anymore because they are too domesticated, it is like with the fox hybrids which are also not called red fox or arctic fox but have other names.

The gene that produces the white color is recessive and like most recessive traits and conditions, inbreeding is the fastest way of producing it. White tigers often have a laundry list of heath conditions in addition to their white fur. www.britannica.com/blogs/2010/…

From the images I would say that tiger is badly hadycapped. I wonder if something like that is legal. Human logic in saving a creature from extinction doesnīt make sense to me.
